There’s nothing worse than trying to learn the guitar on one that’s really hard to play!  The action on this one was very high which is only ever going to give you sore fingers!

Measuring up at the 12th fret the action’s way too high…

The frets are a little uneven so I’ll never be able to get a really low action but I can make it a whole lot better.

Starting with the neck set, it’s a little too curved….

so flatten that out a bit.

Before I put a new set of strings on it I’ll give the fretboard a god clean…

and oil…..

The bridge saddle had a couple of pieces of packing under it but taking just one out should be enough.

The action height at the 1st fret was fine so no work needed there.

All in all not a bad action now.

Now it’s playable.  Probably still going to get sore fingers but that’s learning the guitar!
